Discover and hold fast to self identity

Our identity is defined in the relationship with our creator and we were all created with a purpose.

Our program exist as a supplement to public school education but also a key part that provides curriculum and training to support parents in raising their children to love the Lord Jesus Christ, reason wisely based on the principles of Scripture, discover and hold fast to the unique identity as a chosen, pitied, beloved child of God, have world-changing purpose in life, and give Biblical answers to the needs of our day.

Develop character

An important part of the sunshine after-school is to teach character with a focus on God’s Word and applying His ways in everyday decisions. Each month we focus on one featured character quality from the bible, study the related Scripture, offer practical application, and lead students apply/practice those principles from the teaching in activities such as creative writing, story telling, art and crafts, short movies/animations. We want to bring the teaching of biblical characters to life as we seek the Lord together as a community with character lessons that are fun and memorable.

Build close relationship with God

Each day at Sunshine we set aside time to focus on growing personally in our relationship with the Lord as well as growing together as a big family in Christ. We design our curriculum around the Lord and His Word. “Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground: for it is time to seek the LORD, till he come and rain righteousness upon you” (Hosea 10:12). 

Shine and impact

With steadfast self-identity in Christ as one chosen, loved, justified, and sanctified, with the character qualities and merits developed through the power of God’s word, with a close relationship with the heavenly father, our vision and goal is to prepare and equip the kids to be the change they want to to see in the world, and be the world changing influence in Christ.
